Planning is now underway for the 2016 Belleville Canada Day celebration!
Check back often for News or contact us to become a volunteer.
The success of Belleville’s previous ‘Canada D'Eh’ celebrations have led to more people attending and a real bottleneck of traffic getting into West Zwick's Park.
We are encouraging people to park for FREE at the Quinte Exhibition Grandstand Fairgrounds, at Sidney and West Bridge Streets to get on one of the two buses that will be shuttling people to and from West Zwick's between 10:00 AM and 4:00 PM on Canada Day, Wednesday, July 1.
We will have some of Belleville's Finest directing traffic at both Bay Bridge Road and Dundas Street West and also at the Entrance to Zwick's Park. There will be two lanes going into the park at the West Zwick's entrance and one lane exiting from under the Bay Bridge near the dog park during peak times. The Belleville Transit buses will be given priority by the police officers so they can avoid parking line-ups. The pick-up and drop off points for the buses are at the Waterfront Trail just southeast of the Tom Gavey Pavilion.
We are hoping that this green alternative of using public transit will ease congestion for all visitors to Belleville’s Canada D'Eh festivities and look forward to seeing you on the bus and at the Park on July 1st!
